Florence Vanek

Florence Vanek holds a Masters in Nursing Leadership and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, Philadelphia.
She is currently employed by Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as the Director of Nursing Education, Practice, and Magnet program. In her role she provides oversight to a team of 35, including nursing leaders from across all divisions of the organization. Her team is responsible for nursing and support staff education, the new-to-practice nurse residency program, maintenance of Magnet® program standards, nursing quality and data management, nursing research and evidence-based practice, nursing informatics, wound care, patient facing diabetes education, library services, historical archive management, internal intranet management, and web-based education development. Prior to her current role, Florence worked as a clinical nurse and nurse manager in emergency nursing.
